June 2015

Vacation Time Is Here!

There are a lot of new pages on my site that I am very excited about!

I hope that you will be able to make use of the many activities on these pages during your vacation time, whether you are experiencing summer or winter right now!

Help Your Child Learn To Cut

I have always had cutting activities and scissor tips on my site, but recently I became aware that there were many parents and teachers searching for information on how to help a child who is struggling to grasp basic scissor cutting techniques.

Hence my new page!

I have used photographs and activity ideas to go back to the underlying skills needed to be able to use scissors and then I take you through the sequence of cutting out that I have found to be most helpful.

Factors Affecting Handwriting

Are you wondering why your child may be struggling with handwriting?

Sometimes called dysgraphia, it is always challenging to get to the bottom of why a child may be struggling with handwriting.

My new page about handwriting explores some of the many factors that can affect a child’s handwriting to help parents and teachers understand the complexity of the skill and take the necessary steps to help their child.

Visual Motor Skills

One of the many factors affecting handwriting is visual-motor integration, and I have written 3 new pages to address this issue.

Visual-Motor Integration: what it is and why it's important

Visual-Motor Integration Activities For Kids

Visual Motor Activities For Little Ones

I hope you will find some fun activities to do with your child to help develop those skills!

If you are helped by any of these pages, please share the links with your friends so others may be helped!

Be blessed as you help the children in your life!

Kind regards, Tracey
